You might have noticed I’ve been a bit slack lately. Writer’s block! Nine years (or maybe more, I’ve lost count) of blogging every week and I suddenly get writer’s block.
I sat on it for a bit, thinking that inspiration would strike. But I didn’t really give it any proper reflection time. I kept going with other stuff on my to-do list. How on earth did I expect inspiration to strike if I didn’t give it time and space to percolate?
In the end, you’ll never guess how I broke through!
Yes, the obvious – I took it to coaching.
As soon as I started talking out loud, the ideas began to flow thick and fast. I realised I had three different audiences, with three different needs. And for each audience, I have a whole list of ideas to write about. Phew.
All it needed was time and space to percolate!
And a silent sounding board of a coach, who simply listened (thank you Donna!), giving me that time and space to percolate.
So what have you been stuck with for a while? What have you not given yourself time and space to percolate? And who can be your sounding board?
